Editorial Policy

Frame of Mind publishes independent writing on film and TV, philosophy, psychology, books, and life and meaning. This Editorial Policy explains how our content is created, how we keep it trustworthy, and what you can expect from what you read here.

How we create content

Our essays are researched before they are published, drawing on the film or book itself, established philosophical and psychological sources, and, where relevant, credible reporting and research. Our analysis and interpretation of a film, a book, or an idea reflect the author’s honest reading, informed by that research rather than by theory divorced from the work itself. When we discuss psychological findings, we aim to represent the underlying research fairly and to note where a topic is genuinely unsettled or debated.

Accuracy and sourcing

We take accuracy seriously. When we reference facts about a film’s production, a philosopher’s work, or a psychological study, we rely on reputable sources and aim to reflect the current understanding. Interpretation of art and ideas is not an exact science, so we try to explain our reasoning and to be upfront about where a claim is our own reading rather than settled fact.

Independence

Frame of Mind is independent, and our opinions are our own. Our essays and recommendations reflect our genuine thinking, not the priorities of any advertiser or brand. We do not publish paid or sponsored content disguised as editorial. If we ever feature a product or partnership, or if a post contains affiliate links, we will disclose it clearly so you always know what you are reading.

Corrections

We want our content to be as clear and accurate as possible, and we update posts when we find a better or more precise way to explain something. If you spot an error, whether it is a typo, an unclear argument, or a factual mistake, please let us know by emailing contact@ibnbatoutaweb.com. We review every report and will correct confirmed errors promptly.

Your trust

Everything on Frame of Mind is written with the goal of earning and keeping your trust. If we ever fall short of that, we want to hear about it.
