About the Author

Hi, I am Dasek Nahri, the writer behind Frame of Mind. I did not come to this through an academic career. I came to it the way a lot of people do: from watching a film that stayed with me longer than it should have, or reading a passage that quietly rearranged how I thought about something. That habit of paying attention is what I try to bring to every piece I publish here.

My interest in film, philosophy, and psychology started as separate curiosities, but over time I noticed they were really asking the same questions from different angles. A film explores an idea through story. Philosophy explores it through argument. Psychology explores it through evidence about how we actually think and behave. Frame of Mind exists because I wanted one place to hold all three conversations at once.

I write this site because I love the moment an idea finally clicks, when a concept stops sounding abstract and starts feeling useful. My goal is to get you to that moment faster. I read carefully, I try to represent films, books, and research fairly, and I am upfront when something I write is interpretation rather than settled fact.

When I am not writing, I am usually watching something worth thinking about, working through a book that has been on my list too long, or turning some ordinary decision into an excuse to think about philosophy. I believe good ideas do not have to be complicated to be worth your time, and that the best insights are often the ones that quietly change how you see the rest of your day.

I would genuinely love to hear from you, whether you have a question, a disagreement, or just want to say hello. You can reach me anytime at daseknahri@gmail.com.
